Sermon by Emmanuel Snogba. October 26, 2025.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, today we gather under the divine mandate given by our Lord
and SaviourJesus Christ in John 13:34-35: “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love
one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know
that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” This is not a suggestion but a divine
command. We are called to make love the center of our Christian lives. In a world filled with
hatred, division, and injustice, the love Christ asks of us is genuinely different. It pushes us
to stand out as people of hope and compassion. At its core, love is the foundation of our faith
and what brings us together as God’s children. As we look at this sacred text, let’s remember
that love is not just a feeling. It is something we do that can change hearts, heal wounds, and
bring us together as one body of Christ.
